CT20B info

Ok I'm getting a manifold made up which will have my CT20B sitting with the flange facing down, but what I noticed was the oil feed and return line are not sitting on top. This obviously isn't going to allow the oil to drain away from the turbo so what I want to know is can the middle part of the turbo be turned around to have the oil feed/return lines on the bottom, but keep the turbine and compressor in the same position?
Hope that makes sense

Is it easy to do? The turbine looks easy to turn but the compressor looks difficult

From memory the compressor has a large C kinda clip behind it with two rings/holes at the end of you.
There is a tool I brought to remove the clips that hold the gudeon(spelling?) pin in the piston. Anyhow that tool worked for the compressor as well.
But.... I dunno if its just my CT20-B or not but with it all bolted in place and supported I can hold onto the outlet and with enough force turn the compressor around by hand

There will (should) also be a pin on either the compressor/turbine housings or the centre cartridge to aid with alignment - these will need to be either removed/moved (will require a new hole to be drilled to fit the pin(s)).

With the CT12B & CT26 the pins are located on the housings, whilst the centre cartridge has the actual holes that the pins go in.
Any decent machinist should be able to redrill the holes in the required spots however both wheels will be exposed during this process - you could get away with just removing the pins from the housings but you'll have to be carefull when you refit them to make sure they're lined up accordingly so the actuator fits on properly.
