Best 4A-GTE Exhaust diameter?

Hey Pplz,
Just wondering what size exhaust most of you guys are running on your 4agte?
Im looking for about 300hp~ and was con sidering a 3" but it seems that might be a tad big/droney?
Anyways just after some thoughts...

3 inch all the way, esp if you want to flow enough gas for 300hp,
exhaust drone all depends on type of muffler and resonator used.

For the street, I'd recommend 2.5" with one good quality muffler at the rear. Why go 3" and burden it with more restrictive mufflers and additional resonators, which also only add weight to the vehicle?

Drone aside, I thought the bigger the better cause it's forced induction - 3" would be the way to go then ...

my atmo sprinter prob louder than my mates which is boosted with 3" exhaust. totally diff sound. mine drones alot more, his sounds tougher. should be fine...

I know what u mean bout loud ;p
Mine has a 2 1/2" w/ ressi and muffler and its DAMN DAMN loud. A bit over 100db at 4k, but legal at 3k  It sounds insane at 8,000rpm in tunnels and bridges!
Even toyospares think its hella loud! Thing is when I had it done I said not loud, but not quiet either....
