everybody keeps telling me to go back to a single
i like my settup but i keep wandering if there would be a huge difference in power
just an expression of interest
i'm not on this site very often so might take a while to reply to any thoughts

Yes there is the potential for a huge increase in power, but it depends on heaps of things - which turbo are you using, how good is your intercooler, do you have a good ECU (not stock), is your fuel system up to the task, and so on. Basically if you're willing to fork out for the complete package, you can be making silly amounts of power!

But you say you like your existing setup, so why even bother? If someone tells you to go big single, do what I do - ask them to donate the required several thousand dollars for the conversion! That usually shuts them up. Smile

i've got the smaller ct12's
i've got the return pressure reg for fuel so the fuel system is up to scratch
the microtech will handle any changes( fuel and ign)
standed pistons and rings though
motor freshly rebuilt
i dont know how much boost or air temp it the rings and pistons can handle

Are we talking 1G-GTE here? They're pretty tough and will take plenty of boost with stock internals. It all depends on the tune though; get it tuned well and make sure your intercooler is doing its job and there's no reason you can't run 20psi or more.

gday dude,

just wondering if you do go to a single turbo on the 3tgte can you please put the twin ct12's away for me and i will grab them off you asap

i sold the ct20 i bought back off you for the same price to a guy in adelaide and ever since then am spewing as it would have gone well on the 2tg
