Two of my mates have it and they get 12.
Anything less and you have a leak.

I get almost 10psi in standard form ..... I would say you have a boost leak somewhere.

make sure the belt isnt slipping.
when mine was slipping (i only had a 160mm pulley) when i was planting it, i would see boost fly up and then it'll stop earlier than it should even though the revs where still climbing. normaly happen in the upper rev range. (5000rpm + ).
slipping s/c belt most times sounds like air noise, not like the squeal you get with a lose alt belt on the older cars.
plus i wouldnt get full boost until the car was flying along the road, more air flow i spose.

I followed the instructions from that mr2sc site, removed the lines from the blue vsv, plugged the TB one and T'd the ABV one into the line i have my boost guage on. Thats right isnt it?

what type of intercooler are you using?, by the sounds of it you are measuring boost after the intercooler, thus a certain degree of pressure drop has occured, the larger pulley will probably make higher measured boost at the sc outlet, but best to check belts, and hoser clamps anyway,
matty.

Stock intercooler on a bog stock SC jap import aw11 mr2. Im measuring the boost in the same place as everyone else, I got 7 pounds before and now 10 pounds after 175mm Nevo and ABV mod. By the sounds of things 12psi seems the norm, so ill check the hose clamps etc.

I got 11psi at about 6500rpm in second today, when do you reach 12psi with your gze's?

I get about 11.5 psi in second with my AW11 motor, but, I'm running a later supercharger pulley.

try spraying a mist of water (with like a haridressers type bottle) around areas where you think it might be leaking while the car idles. this method can be used to find vacumm leaks, but at idle, there should be some vacumm in youre IC plumbing maybe? you could try it.

The later ZE motors used a smaller pulley on the supercharger to give about 1 lb more boost.

Sorry - I'm running the big NEVO pulley as well as the smaller supercharger pulley. I do have an ARC intercooler which might be making a difference as well....

Boost should always be measured post-throttle (normally off the inlet plenum), as this is the amount of boost that the engine actually sees.
The only time you should be measuring boost anywhere else is if you are trying to ascertain the pressure drop between certain parts of your inlet system.
In this sitation it may be worthwhile connecting a second boost gauge pre-intercooler and having someone watch it for you (eyes on the road, please!) to see if there is any difference between the two. A crap intercooler will generate crap results...

Post throttle in a ZE isn't the same as a turbo car (the TB is before the supercharger).
For the record, I'm measuring boost at the inlet manifold.
