I acquired a new Job!!! Pretty funny.... Sat, 24 January 2004 09:04 Go to next message
Well I was looking for a job recently so I can get that bit extra necessary for the car (and to maintain it).

I was thinking of trying for some various jobs over Melbourne etc...

I walked into a car dealer and enquired about possibly getting a position as a detailer, and the guy was like "yeah no problem, when would u like to start.... LOL!!!!
pay is about $14 an hour, not bad to spend ur day washing cars and cleaning em..

Bet ur wondering what company i'm washing the cars for aren't u LOL.....

U guessed it TOYOTA... WOOHOOO LOL
I've dream't of the day I would work at toyota hahahaha.
We get to move all the cars around the dealers and stuff..
I worked 5 hours today. got $75, not bad... LOL

I washed about 5 cars inside out, that might not seem much in 5 hours, but we had to clean the inside as well.. I'm in charge of cleaning the demo models and the new cars...
And the fact that they were all Four wheel drive... Damn those Toyota Prado Grande are DAMN NICE. leather interior, GPS etc...
I had a ball lol!!

I'm that one step closer to buying that ST-162 Celica SX (yeah thats right... I've got back into it. only reason was a bit of a worry about fuel economy, but not a worry now lol Smile)

I was talking to a guy there, and he mentioned he was selling his car, a mark 1 suzuki swift GTI... I was like "ohh nice"...
But I wouldn't go to anything but toyota...

So thank u for reading my story..
Regards
Adrian!

Actually five cars in five hours is about right for the new ones.
Used cars take about 4 hours each to do a full detail where i work.
Wait till the day when you are about to go home and the salesman wants one done cause its got to go out in 10 mins. Laughing

Shit, I wouldn't mind being able to take an hour per car! I work for a car rental company, and we average 10-15 minutes per car, inside and out. They're probably not up to the same standards of car yard cars. But they still go out gleaming!
Cheers,
Tim
