Damn, that's quicker than a 5-speed V6 Camry (Gen3 models were surprisingly quick 7.5 secs). Impressive.

The 3.3L VVTi engine is already being used in the Camry in Canada and the US. I expect it to land here when we get the Series 2 Camrys.

Well, the last two shaped Camrys in Australia have had "Series 2" models, although Toyota don't advertise it (mostly minor cosmetic items).
The 3.3L V6 was delivered to the US and Canada in their "Series 2" models, so I'm basing my prediction on that.

Cool, yeah i would tend to view these "crossovers" as soft roaders. However at least Toyota make some real 4WDs aswell. Landcruiser 79 series anyone?

I drive the Klugers a fair bit and they are mad 4wd's to drive... Really comfortable, quiet as and quick...
But if you want a real 4WD, get one of the new V8 Cruisers... Anyone thrashed a manual version??? Well I did and they go hard... I took off, dumped it and turned full lock to the right... Looked back and 4 black lines on the road... They are awesome, extremely quick for a 2 tonne 4WD...

Toyota Kluger is like most 4wds.
Butt ugly.
I think they should be banned or a least have a licence to own 1. Just like a Gun. They aren't as quick as people say.

I'll have to borrow my sisters car and a stopwatch and test it myself.
And Billy-Mason PI...they looked at the Outbacks and they were more expensive than the Kluger for the equivilent spec. But yeah i would still rather one...they look great but the ground clearance wasn't high enough becasue the car will be driven off road a fair bit.

Rolla Boy...a mate of mine knows these guys from Melbourne and they work for Toyota and they bought up a brand new V8 Cruiser for the weekend. It had 490ks on the clock when they turned up here and it's a 400k drive from Melbourne so brand new. They took it out camping and gave it heaps on all the dirt roads and bush tracks. I have pictures somewhere of them with big guns shooting out of it on the run and the like....what a good way to treat a new V8 Cruiser

9 seconds to 100 for the kluger??? Hmmm... Thats about the same speed as a st-162 sx celica, Well I drove one recently, if a st-162 is as quick as this thing, i'd be a very happy man..... They fucking fly LOL
