1. Yokohama A509's work well for me.
2. White lettering is for bogans in Camaros. Best avoided if you don't like being laughed at.
3. I run no less than 38psi in mine. Those are big sidewalls, you need to keep them plenty stiff if you want to go around corners.
4. 5k rpm is probably about as far as you want to go with a stocker 5M-E. Even my 5M-GE didn't like going too far beyond that.

tyres: only ones i know with white lettering in 225/60 are bridgestone eagers and BF goodrich AT's...
...both of which handle like turds on lino
5m makes noise at about 5.6k rpm
not that its too terrific under that...

Yeah got em as original on my new Corolla Seem like a good all-rounder but I haven't really tested 'em to the limit. They do get a little slippery in the wet though...

eagle f1's are the choice for tyre for me anyway - dunno about gettign a matching size for the supra mag though - but you can ask!
excellent dry and wet weather grip - good longivity - even with my tyre eating awd setup !
not cheap though so expect to pay around the $150 - 180 a tyre at a guess

My parents have had 2 sets of Yokohama A509 tyres fitted to their Commodore since 1991 until they stop production just recently and we had to get A539
My MA61 is fitted with A509 (had to find a set) and are better then Kelly Chargers HR which where on the car when I bought it.
The SA63 is fitted with A539 and the ZZT231 is fitted with the original A680...
Good luck in finding a set of tyres for your MA61, choose what is in your price range and your opinion.
Cheers.

Apparently on the CSForum.com people in the US that a 5.5' Woofer can go in there... I don't know. I have removed it a few times to look at after replacing the blower resistor. I haven't even bothered connecting it up since I am using a 12' in the boot.
Cheers.

About 5". This hardly qualifies as a "subwoofer".

I use kelly chargers and swear by them! 235/r14/60.
COuld drive the car around corners on 2 wheels without loss of traction! Firestone good also, but not sure if they are still available.

You have to be kidding !!! Kelly Chargers/Firestone have grip ? Nah, couldn't ever happen !!!
I had A509's on my car before I sold the mags, and the availability (or lack thereof) of ANY suitable tyre in the size that had grip led me down the path to the 5 stud upgrade and 16" rims.
The number of 225/50x16's that are avaialable with or without grip is huge, and the prices are similar.
Yank tyres with grip , Pffft !!!

You should try some real tyres one day (eg Yokohama's), you'll be amazed at the difference...
And there's more to a tyre than outright grip. Anyone can manufacture a tyre with a soft compound.

My Pirrellis have white lettering. For a relatively cheap tyre, they're good value. But I'd bet the Yokies are way better.

Not that I have a MA61, but I've got Bridgestone Potenza GIII on my TA23, they grip great in the wet & dry.....corner nicely aswell. A good middle of the road tyre

I'm planning to use GIII's for the XX when it's finished, but they don't come in many 14" sizes. They are a good tyre, and hopefully they can compare to the RE711's I have on the RA60.

I run Maxxis 60 series on my Cressida.
I find I have uber grip in the dry, and plenty of grip in the wet too.
Plus I've done 45k km on them, and they still have plenty to tread.
But we shall see how good they are when I put uber creamy uz power through them
If they stand up to the task, I will recommend them to anyone
