1ggte conversion started Mon, 26 January 2004 08:09 Go to next message
i started my conversion today, after spending the last month or two getting all the bits together.
i took me and a mate about 2hours to get the 18r out and then bout another 3 to just muck around. if it wasnt for me needing the reseal the sump on my 1g, i reckon i could have got it in the car in a day, i mean its 7pm now, we started at about 10am.
just curious if there is something else i need to do, other than fueling, radiator, accel pedal, wiring and cleaning.
also just curious how long it took anyone else who has done the conversion.

I got mine done (with the help of my freinds of course) about 2 weeks but that was doing a bit after work and on sundays, it probley totaled 3 days of working on it.
The only problem was waiting for the electrician to do the wiring (3 weeks) and then having the computer frying on me to on add a few more day's.
But apart from that it was the eziest conversion ive done.

Cheers

P.S good luck

So this conversion isnt really all that hard then.

Ive been thinking about this for the last couple of mths, just throwing ideas around in my empty head.

What sort of issues are there to look out for.

Ill do a search and see what i come up with.

Good effort dude. Im sure it'll be worth the wait.
