My 4age is running rich. Black smoke comes out when i give it a nice hit in 1st and 2nd. How do i get rid of this problem? been told to resest the ecu but not sure how to do this?
Resetting the ECU generally makes it run even richer.
If you want to do it anyway, pull the EFI fuse out for a few minutes then replace it (usually 30amps under the bonnet).
Your best bet is to use something like an APEXi SAFC to lean out the mixtures a bit (best done properly on a dyno so you don't pop the engine).
