Is this a good deal? Tue, 27 January 2004 09:02 Go to next message
Ey all,

I just put a deposit on a 1990 Corolla SECA SX, and i'm just wondering what you thing of the deal i got.

The car has done 128000km's, the panels are perfectly streight, interior is great, no rust what so ever, has an aftermarket alarm fitted. Mechanically its great.

The car is going to get a road worthy, detailed, and fully serviced. The dealer is also going to pay all on road costs. Also the tires are nearly brand new.

The final cost is $6000 drive away. What do u think of the deal?

IMO you could get a better car for the amount of money but it depends what you are after really. If it really is in TOP quality then i guess that price could be justified but remember that dealer's have to make a profit so they will be dearer than a private sale.

Personally, I would go and look for a GA70 supra or a GZ20 Soarer for that amount of money Smile

there are a number around the price which you are paying, tho' with mods.. but there are also these..

Toyota Corolla Seca SX 1991, 1 owner, tinted windows, new tyres, towbar, security systems, Pioneer stereo, under seat CD stacker, under seat subwoofer, 251-DCM, excellent condition, $5650 K

COROLLA SECA SX 100Kw, twin cam, white, 1990, 5 speed, air, steer, 15in mags, plus spare set, stereo, tint, XNP-650, $5500 negotiable

Toyota Corolla Seca 1990 model SX, 100kW, red, 17in Momo's, power windows, air conditioning, power steering, sound system, 11 months rego, many extras, $6950, RED-16V M

but they go right up to 8k too.. so I am suprised, but also wrong... it seems like 6k is a pretty fair price, and the low kays are a bonus for sure. Make sure he pays for rego! Smile

cheers
