In my Exp. Trolley collectors and after school cares are always looking, might need a police check before you go asking at childcare centres.

Mine too. It is all experience, we are doing you a huge favour here, experience isn't easy to come by! You should grasp this oppurtunity to wash and polish our cars, in fact the experience is sooo good, you should pay us to do it!!

Don't forget servos too. You can easily get 20+ hrs a week there if you are good at it, and willing to do shit shifts. (tho, I don't think that'll help you ed )

if you're after casual work...
...ever thought about doing the mobile dj thing at private parties on friday/sat nights?
you would need to be available on these nights and have your own car to transport equipment... i worked my way through university doing it

yeah my sister's boyfriend did this too, made shitloads! and from what he tells me, most can't tell the difference between well mixed beats and someone just stopping and starting cds (very clear going by some of the so called 'djs' that play our local nighclub, makes you cringe sometimes at how obvious it is)

xfader,
ever thought of personal care work? (don't know what the requirements are to work in this field in NSW...)
not everyone has the balls for it (actually i reckon the real problem is people aren't willing to try ), but helping people with disabilities is pretty satisfying... it depends on what you want out of a job, i suppose. i did care work for 2+ years, usually 30+ hours per week (plus studying) and it was emotionally draining, but also ridiculously rewarding.
- rates are usually very good, and there is heaps of loading for evenings/weekends, which you can work plenty of
- you get to witness an awesome cross-section of society; you will help all types, you will be thanked repeatedly, and you will learn just how frustrating your life could have been if you weren't such a lucky motherfucker
- you will gain people-skills you didn't know you had, from working with people you didn't know existed
- it teaches you composure and presence-of-mind... situations that make your mates nervous/queasy/embarrassed, you will be able to handle whilst standing on your head... and you will make it look easy, too
- if you don't like the people you are working with, you can just tell your boss you want to work with someone else!!
- you work very closely with, and get to know, a LOT of nurses... i can say no more about this matter
- you get to hear war veterans brag about the chicks they have nailed 'back in the day' the same way you and your mates crap on!!!
- it looks bloody good on a resume! (i had no idea how significant this would be until later)
i could go on and on, dude, but you're probably hoping i don't... just thought i would offer the suggestion.

apply for a security license...... always work for security guards........ at my last security job i was a door guard at a club in the city they paid $53 an hour. Its fun and intresting work.... at a normal security job ull get paid minimum about $24 an hour plus i luv them jobs were im alone in the company car doing rounds around some shitty company....... best thing to do pick up the boys and go 4 a session whilst working.
