Looking good!
That's a mighty nice looking clutch set-up. I can't recognise the tag on the pressure plate - what's the brand?
And if you still need a shifter that sits back another 3" or so - I might be able to help out. I've got a JZA80 W58 on the way - and I'm going to need to swap the shifter for one with the normal 18" Supra style position. So, a swap could be a neat solution.

The sticker on the pressure plate just says "HiTorque Clutch"
I have no idea of the brand or clamping force. I am still waiting on the information.
Dont worry about the shifter, the JZA80 will put it way to far back, it still comes up in the factory hole, just not in the centre.
I'll just get my shifter bent backwards a bit more. I'll live happily either way (as long as I can get it running)

Well, we think she wont fire because the rotors are stuffed.
And as I live all the over here in WA, there are no rotors or dizzy caps at the Toyota warehouse.
So that means I'll have to wait until mid next week for them to come in

We think we know why she won't run.
The signal from the crank angle sensor isn't strong enough to tell the ignition module to tell the coil to let-her-rip.
So, is there such thing as a crank angle sensor signal booster?
Can I put ferrite magnets on the line or something?
Any ideas?

But I'm hoping to have it taken in on wednesdat morn.
And the test drive will just be around the block, nothing major
I'll give you a call later once she's tuned

Well, we figured out why she is not running
Running WAAAAAAAAAAAY to rich, plugs are flooded
So, now to get the tuner over, and reduce the duty cycle on the injectors

What program were you starting with?
I think we started with a "Brock" program, and went from there. Once we put in a 4cyl one by mistake, fouled up the plugs straight away (twice the fuel!) then had to take them all out, clean them and put them back in. Not a fun way to spend an afternoon when you were expecting to drive the thing!

Ah yeah, then in that case it'll definately run too rich.
I can't remember the reason, but running a 4cyl chip would make the injectors go twice as often as needed - stupid rich.
I think it had something to do with the ignition sparking half as often (once every 4 revolutions instead of 2) because it was running twice the number of cylinders. Can't remember exactly though.
I know that if its CLOSE, then the delco will actually trim it to make it runable. Thats how with both my brothers cars they got them running on the camira computer and could drive it to the tuners (4AG, 3TGTEU). I needed a V8 chip though.
Cruz's tuner should be able to sort it out pretty quickly, if he's worth his salt.

Gee, you couldnt have written that down ANYWHERE could you
It would have saved 5 days of fucking around trying to find out why she wouldnt fire anymore
She was running on sat, then tried on monday, and nothing, no spark, no bang, no nothing.
Figured out tank was empty, so filled it up, and still no spark
Then figured out running UBER rich as you said above
Figured out yesterday that she was running on sat coz the tank was near empty, and there was fuck all fuel being injected.
It also explains why she wouldnt rev very well.
So yes, as Pete said, I need a V8 chip to stop the injectors firing 2ce as often
HOPEFULLY I can get Alan over tomoz to 'tune' it so I can finally drive it to the exhaust shop sat morn and get some nice t00ns

Its not the chip per-se. Its the program. The chips don't differ ... well they do, but you can put a V8 program on a Camira chip.
I forgot we had the problem, and your right I didn't write it down anywhere. Since you were doing it your own way I figured you would've thought of this, or your tuner would've told you. And I don't know if its different if your using Camira ignition modules instead of 2 V8 ones like I'm doing.
I'm kinda suprised you tried to start it yourself without the tuner & laptop there (I didn't have the balls). What if it was way to lean and pinging its head off? Or too rich and pinging its head off for that matter.
Do you want me to list all my other minor problems (under a day's work)?

Hahhaha, nah, I shouldn't need all the other problems
I only have a few others to deal with, but we have possible solutions for them.
My tuner didnt expect it to start, and if it did, it would be running rich, so I was worried about it running lean (I havent driven it anywhere, just out of the garage and into the carport)
But he didnt expect it to be running this rich
But yeah, with the requirement for 8 cyls, we need 4 pulses per rotation of the crank, whereas the Camira only has 2 pulses, so the injectors are firing 2ce as often

I had mine running on 4cylinders for a little while, we wondered why it was sluggish then found out one of the ignition modules had died (they were only temporary anyway). It still idled at 360revs and you could've done the champagne or 50c coin test.
Increadible motors.

Oh shush. I had to do the same thing last weekend because my slave cylinder for my clutch went . Good thing is I OWN a car trailer and it was in the vacant lot nextdoor
I towed mine to the exhaust place, then towed it to pirtek to get the oil lines done, then towed it to the tuner and left it there telling him he had to get it running for it to move!

Then I'll get the tuner over here, or worst case, trailer it there.
