hey
just wondering wat u all do with the clutch line being in the path of the exhaust??
ive seen it where ppl have bent the pipe a lil n had the flexi line going over the pipe but thats a lil rough can you get longer flexi lines made up n kinda loop it over the exhaust so its a bit away n doesnt get affected from the heat
at work i have seen the new rodeos have the clutch line kinda near the exhaust n they have a chunky rubber secton with another metal heat protector that goes over the flexi lines...
ideas anyone...?

Anthony Kellam <akellam@optusnet.com.au> sells 4-1 TRD style extractors and also clutch line kits to go over them...
From memory he charges $40 or sumtin for the clutch line...

i bought a hose kit from anthony kellam which loops over the exhaust and i don't have any problems, but if you're really fussy and have time/money, source out the japanese ae86 bellhousing as the clutch-fork sticks out the opposite side.. and run a new line to it.

I've used the standard clutch to a 4A based T50 gearbox and I've had no probs.
...Not sure everyone means by "over the exhaust"....

i found that swapping the clutch line over with the bleed nipple at the slave cylinder gave me enough length to avoid the exhaust, there were no problems for me when i did this., give it a go, if it doesn't work for you, then get the custom one.

I was trying to think why you guys were having problems, as i couldn't remember that i did change it.
I also swapped mine like jdm hachi. hose for nipple, you have to pull the olive out and swap that to the other hole too.
The only time my pedal is affected is if i idle in one spot for 5 mins or more, tends to go a bit soft. But once moving it's all good, bit of airflow. Stupid extractor wrap tape, ran out about 10cms short of the clutch slave.
