Just throwing ideas around.

The RA6x and MA61 share the same fronts. Only difference is that the MA61 has twin pot calipers (from what I remember) while the RA6x has a big single pot.

It's been a while since I had a look at an MA61 strut so I don't know if it would be too difficult to pop the MA61 calipers on. Do they use the same mounting points? Any other issues?

I'm thinking that the brake master cylinder would have to be upgraded too?

Anyone out there with more of an idea?

Just idle thoughts at work... Smile

They have twin-pot callipers? I thought the MA61 just had a big single too?

Damn that was a fast reply! Very Happy

The pads are different, and from what I remember, someone told me that that was because the MA61 had twin pots...

Going off my (very bad) memory... Rolling

someone wouldnt happen to know if the MA61 caliper is the same as the twin pot corona RT102 caliper?

im also looking into a brake upgrade but something small to fit behind my 14's

i was thinking corona or RA40 strut RA/MA60 disc and corona caliper, but if the MA61 caliper is the same then i wont have to make a spacer for the corona caliper to fit over the vented disc.

any feed back is appreciated

From what I remember of the twin spots from last time I saw a pair, they were fairly sad looking efforts with pads that are half the size of the singles, so I never bought them, I used the singles instead and they worked pretty well.

MA61 calipers are single-pots. I've had the calipers off both my MA61's several times. Smile

I think the early RA6x came with smaller calipers, but later ones (possibly RA65?) were upgraded to the MA61 spec.

As for interchangability, I'd be surprised if it wasn't a simple bolt-on affair.
