As the topic states.
Add to that maybe a S-AFC to control a bigger set of injectors.
What inj are avail for a 1JZ?

I rekon it can. But myabe the AFR will be out. My friend has a single Garret on a JZA80, pushing 360rwkw, with stock ECU, car runs very lean though. The car drives perfect though.

injectors for the 1jz are side feed - a set from a 2jz is a small but cheap upgrade, otherwise you better start looking at non-standard ones
the stocker map sensor isn't much good for anything above about 1bar

US-spec injectors (550cc) fit and that's a pretty decent upgrade from the stockers (340cc?).

380cc i was told. no idea about the ECU Q though.
personally, if you are going to spend the dosh to go single turbo you may as well do it properly. IMO.

the ecu will run the single turbo no probs .. but depends on what size .. i had a single 7mgte ct26 on my car for a few thousand kays .. got 200rwhp at 8 psi and 230 rwhp at 14 psi .. ran sweet.. no probs .. went on dyno was runnig rich . cheap single turbo conversion .. maybe not upgrade but more reliable than the ceramic wheeled stockers..and heaps cheaper ..psi have 440cc and 550cc inj for sale .. see for sale section
