It'll bolt-on to any k-series engine: k, 2k, 3k, 4k, 5k, 7k, none of which are overhead cam....

I couldn't say if it'd suit any other engines ...Confused

you do realise that the "Hi-Cam" 4k was still not overhead cam, right...?

it had a HIgher Lift cam than the other models...

that's all.

btw, this setup is pretty schmick looking, with the chrome intake runners, and all...sexy.

jazz up your KE30/55/70, whatever!!!

LOL Laughing
tis a common misconception..

"Hicam" refers to the cam being placed "high in the block", and was an advertising campaign to counter the "overhead cams" of dattos etc of the time.

a "Hicam" 4K, is just aplain old boring 4K Wink
the actual cam is the same in lift and duration to the other 'normal' K type cams (non-hydro, and non -B cams)

4KE setup will fit onto any K motor, manifold can be ported enough to fit onto bigports.

show me the cam specs of a "HIgher Lift cam" Very Happy Wink

really? weird. can you measure it?
i have 3K timing chain and sprockets on my 4K, and did not notice any differences..

the 4K block has a taller deck height too, so mayb the cam is the same height relative to the crank?

measurements would be good!

IMO, you would be better off with EFI...

also, think of the dollar factor here...

a pair of new webers...$1000 (maybe $800 if you shop around...)

meatheads efi setup....$375

der...

efi will always run smoother, use 1/5th of the fuel, and have just as much power, if tuned properly.
