Anything with a 2JZGTE is bound to go like the clappers. Apparently it has annoying traction control you can't turn off, but apart from that, it'd be an awesome car.

Hey hey, I like an automatic version,It weighs about 1680Kg which is a 180kg more than a Supra RZ,I saw one with a Manual Gearbox 6speed I think it was maybe taken off a Toyota Supra 6Speed. But anyhow need to know what turbos the 2JZ-GTE are running, what's the stock boost this is running and the limit of the 2JZ-GTE

If they are anything like the turbos from Norbie's Aristo 2JZGTE, it'll be a pair of CT20A's. No one really knows much about them, but I believe he's running about 16psi with them.
Not sure on stock boost. The limit of the 2JZGTE is the tuning. There are plenty of stories of people making HUGE amounts of power with them on factory internals, but as was said in the JZA70 thread, you can have big dollar internals, but if your tuning is wrong, you're still going to break it. In a word though, the factory internals are beefy.

dont go stupid on boost if the engine has done high k's without a rebuilt, as if by any chance you blow them, throw away the engine! Bar crank and block. oh and rods. Check if its service history is there, as most cars leaving japan have been wound back on the clock. I know this as a fact, as a mate of family owns an import shop and tends to notice km change between when he sees the cars in japan, as oppose to when they arrive in australia.

Nonsense. My 2JZ-GTE has high-ish km's and it's copped lots of boost for the last 6 months. In cooler weather I run up to 20psi! The 2JZ-GTE is tough and it's built to take it.
It's very unlikely a car of this age will need a rebuild; it can't be much more than 10 years old, which is nothing for an engine like this.

We are talking 20Psi on stock turbos? Also I am getting a 1994 Model. My last car had 188000 on the dash, with a 1G-GTE motor it never failed,I guess they just need to be serviced regularly around that age and monitored for leaks. Anyway norbie, how does 20psi feel on a 2JZ-GTE, tried it once on my 1G-GTE (by disconnecting the actuator hoses)and the car went wild.So I am hoping that you experience more than that. Talk about it man!

Yes, I have stock turbos. 20psi feels absolutely balistic, the car feels like it wants to take off! Suffice to say I ran 12.49 at 117mph and that was only 18psi. Obviously a big heavy Aristo won't be quite that fast, but it will still be very very rapid!

Constantly? Pfft, 10 seconds of maximum boost and I'm doing 200km/h. This is my daily driver remember, the turbos very rarely get a full workout!

I have seen one off some website in Japan with 2JZ-GTE with 6 speed manual,Surely doesn't appear stock,
Also I have a preference for large cars like Aristo and Chasers being Automatic when turbocharged. This is my personal opinion others may disagree, where I am from we have steep hills, lots of corners and two lane roads (no speed limit).
I once had a run with a a Supra manual GA70 Twin Turbo runing at 15psi. and me in an automatic GX81 Chaser Twin turbo runing 11psi.
you should have been there to see the amount of car lenghts I had on that supra,he came long side me on my driver door then I slammed that in 2 and PWR and that supra just started reversing.

That's why I am going to buy this Aristo I prefer the 1994 Models. 2JZ-GTE. First upgrade will be a front mounted Intercooler and air intake system and a more efficient fuel pump.
