I know this question has probably been asked thousands of times but i was wondering what gear i need to turbo my 6mg in my MA61. ive been told you can use the 7mgte gear. putting a 7mgte is not really an option for me since i just put the 6m in and ive been told that the 7's are that good since the head gaskets always go or is it the heads?. any way i was just curious, also am i correct saying that the 6m's usually put out about 190 hp.

Yes, 7mgte gear
Manifold, piping, turbo, 90 degree oil filter, lines, etc etc etc

Go to www.celicasupra.com and search the forums, this topic is discussed frequently and you'll find all the info you need.
In short though,
- 7M-GTE turo manifold bolts on with minor machining
- 6M's have the same headgasket weaknesses as a 7M
- 6M engine management is somewhat primitive and doesn't handle boost too well, so budget for engine management
- You can use the 7M inlet piping and intercooler but it's not very good so you're better off going custom.
