okie dokie....
on the way home from the greenvale meet, ive noticed that my supra sorta jolts and chugs along when im just cruising- it doesnt seem to do it when i accelerate, just when im cruising. its particlarly worse in lower gears and revs.
any idea of what the hell this is?
also, i recently (before the greendale meet) got some carbie cleaner and cleaned out the throttle plate and around that bit. i dunno what difference it woulda made, but i thought its worth mentioning.
thanks y'all.

Could be a dud injector, AFM, O2 sensor, TPS.
Have you checked the diagnostics for any out of tollerance conditions??
If you just cleaned the throttle plate, maybe some crap got dislodged and is caught in the TPS

We're talking 5M-E here, so no diagnostics worth mentioning!
I'd start with the ignition system first, make sure everything is in good working order. It's possible your plugs got fouled by the carbie cleaner and/or the crap it dislodged.

okay, have just established its nothing to do with the motor- rolled down a hill in neutral (doesnt wobble when sitting idling) and it still wobbles.
dad seems to think its either shock, spring, universal joint or diff....
it just shakes and chugs heavily on the left side of the car....
any ideas? wheel bearing even?
thanks y'all....
p.s. i havent hit anything this time......

Could be a warped brake disk??
Do you feel it through the steering, brakes or seat??
Could be a missing wheel balance weight, damaged tyre or worn steering components.

Check the bolts on the diff
That will make a huge noise at approximately 109-111km/h

okay, i found a tyre....
quyestion.... it did have dunlop SP sports 225/60/14s.
the new tyre is a hankook something 225/65/14.
will it make much difference (ie size??)
i dont mind if its a bit of a shit tyre, as i want to replace all the tyres eventually with nice good grippy ones anyway...

Not really on teh front, but having different diameter tyres on the back will slowly wear out your LSD.

It's generally a bad idea to have different size tyres on the same axle, especially if the diameter is different. As mentioned it's bad for your diff as well.
