SUBJECT CAR - CRESSIDA GX 60 G'day to all you guru's. Really need some help here with some troubleshooting,., In the past had a couple of questions on rear brakes conversions to disc brakes. Thank you for you feedbacks.
1 ) 86 model with a 1G-GE engine, problem with acceleration due to 2 known problems. Throttle sensor, removed throttle body and open sensor cover to discover sensor broken in the centre recoil point. This will affect accl. Can i use any other model t/sensor or the exact same one. Any way to mod or repair ?
2 ) Airflow sensor (not AFM)..same level as the oil filter, oily all the time, this is the unit that has 2 hoses, a socket with 2 wires and some kinda small adjustment nut..? Can it be serviced ? Will it affect accl.? Any way to upgrade ? This looks like the 2nd prob.
3 ) My acceleration feels like that of a Turbo lag..floor the pedal all the way..and then the power returns..slowly but surely..when you start it feels like it wants to roar..then it seems like someone is tugging you at the rear...then a surge. Could this be a Throttle body prob ? Maybe the last bloke who chaged the gasket closed some of the breather holes ????!!!
4 ) Airflow Meter..how to tell if it's rotten ??Could that be a contributing factor to power loss ?
5 ) Co2 seem rich..20-30 seconds at the rear...and tearing eyes and breathing difficulities occur..how do i adjust the Co2 ?
ANY Help on these problems will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers/ Dom
