The engine ad is awesome... The graphics and stuff are like the ones at the start of The Fast And The Furious 1... That looked awesome...
And as for the "Make My Dinner", thats a fukn classic... I wanna see if I can get one of those through work...

Is it just me but does the piston movement on the ignition stroke seem much quicker than the rest? I may be completely ignorant here, but I was under the assumption that the pistons went at the same speed relative to each other.

Pistons actually travel at a different speed at the top of the bore against the speed at the bottom of the bore.
Its basically because they pivot around the Big end so : when they are at the top of the bore they are the furthest away from the centre of the Main and when they are at the bottom they have pivoted to what was the inside of the Big end so they are closer to the Main.
In effect - if you took a point from the top of the Con rod just above the Big end and plotted its movement, it follows a flattened egg shape with the point to the top.
Hence why Balance shafts are used.

toyoda... so wait your telling me that the piston travels faster on the compression stroke than it does on any of the other strokes? 'cuz that's what it does on the ad.

The Piston travels faster over the top of the stroke and slower at the bottom of the stroke - So yes Compression and exhaust but only at the top.
