Why is it that everytime i attach a file to my emails, the recipient gets a *.dat file and not the actual file ???

search internet for free virus protection - or spend some dollars and get the current copy of Norton from your nearest computer shop - you'll probably get 12months subscription to updates with a bought copy.

then... get an email client that's not prone to virus (Eudora is what i would use).

or better still, run an OS that's not prone to virus infection - linux (if you're a PC user) or OS X (if you use mac)

les are u or the recipient using netscape as their email client?

happens when sending and email with an attachment that is an email from outlook to someone with nutspank or vise versa
