WTB: F series (7.5") 3.5:1 diff center!!

guys,
i'm chasing up a really tall diff ratio for sprinterstine. i only recently just found out that toyota actually made a 3.5:1 diff for the 7.5". apparently out of some cressida's or something similar with irs.
anyone got one they don't actualy need?

has to be a 7.5" - not a 6.7" - most ra60's are 6.7"
i know for sure you can get 3.5's because the guy who set up my diff for me had 2 of them sitting there - he just wanted too much money for them for our budget (because they are rare surprisingly enough)

RA65's had F-series rears like a Supra, it was RA60's and SA63's that had T-series.
Quite a few RA65's came with the 3.54 diff for some reason.

would one of them centres bolt into the mark2 (it has an f series single legger)
im not up on the gear ratio info
which would be better for more launch?

interesting.....
center will interchange. for a better launch you want a lower ratio - like 4.1/4.3/4.5/4.8 etc (all easy to get f series ratios)

Toby, Pick-a-Part Campbellfield HAD an RA65 with a 3.5:1 F series sigle spinner in it a little while ago. Gone now of course. They usually want less than $100 for a whole IRS diff. Maybe try sourcing one from there?
Have you tried Motive Gears in Somerton?

They are actually quite rare - you have to get one from a Manual RA65 Celica... which weren't made for a particularly long period of time.
Don't let the fact that they can sometimes be found cheaply fool you - I juts don't think that wreckers know that people would pay hundreds of dollars more for them! Wreckers don't undrstand anything that's not Commodore-based.
And yes they will swap into any F-Series Toyota IRS (eg. Mk2 Supra), I have seen it first hand.

strange that a manual car would have such a tall ratio. luckily i now happen to know where there is one in a yard......

Ive got one in my shed, in fact still a
complete sub-frame. F372 3.5 ratio.

I have a 3.9 LSD out of a cressida if its any help. I checked my daughters RA65 manual and it has a 3.9 also
