Your driving style has a huge influence. These are big heavy cars with lots of power, so if you drive the car the way it's meant to be driven you'll get to know your local servo attendant very well indeed. If you take it easy they can get pretty decent mileage (especially highway driving) but let's face it, who's going to drive a Supra like that?
Oh and when I say decent, that's a relative term. Supra's have crap fuel economy at the best of times.

lol running my engine in, i think i'll achieve a whole 300km from a tank! And its a 7mge! It will remain to be seen after engine is checked over and run in a little more.

I used to get 350km's out of a full tank in my MZ20 Soarer (around the same weight as MA70)
I wasn;t light footed though. Another guy on here has a MZ20 with a SAFC and he's now getting close on 500 clicks out of a tank!!

Yeah I was getting under 400kms to a tank with the 7MGTE. Of everyday driving. And about 450kms-500kms with the 7MGE (last supra).
Now (1U) its about 550kms (including an Old Pac run!)

On the hiway I'd get about 700kms out of a tank. Around 450-500kms for everyday drive to and from work.

I know this has been said before, but if fuel economy is any concern to you, just don't buy a Supra!

Yep, if fuel economy is a concern, but a car that is half the weight and half the engine size. Kinda like a 4AG corolla.

fuel economy is a concern, but for what reason does this mean i should not buy a supra.
it is a concern relative to my needs, ie. as long as it doesnt chew through 18l/100km on the highway.

sedate driving in the ra60- 550kms a tank (around town)
hardish driving: 440kms.... (torn)
the supra, running rich : 280kms a tank (town)
running right: about 350???
i have got 600-650km on the highway with the ra60, and 500 in the running right supra on the highway.
not a 7m, but a 21rc and 5me...
ah well

OK, I didn't get 550kms out of the tank I got about 520kms.
Filled up last night and put 63.4L in! its a 65L tank!!
On the digital gauge I've got a button that changes the scale and tells me how many L I've got left (max 15L on the scale). Last night I watched it go from 6-4-2 and then when I got to the servo and had to manouver the car to a different pump it read 0 nothing, no light up at all just the red pump indicator.
Lowest I've ever had this car for sure.
This is the problem when you'll only ever put 1 type of fuel in and theres a gap between petrol stations.
FYI its a 1UZ MA70.

MUCH better than with my 7MGTE.
7MGTE - 400 - 500kms. (was spitting fuel out the back)
1UZFE - 520 - 750kms. (properly tuned by professional)
engine, street, highway

Heres something to noodle over.
I once drove my car (JZA70) so that it was running literally on vapours.
I went to fill up and GOD FORBID i put in 66.2L. Now, I'm pretty sure all A70 Supra's have 65litre tanks. Needless to say I was abit miffed and had a little go at the attendant. But what can they do really ?
Oh, and never ever EVER use shell premium. She pinged like a little biatch on the slightest amount of boost. Put U98 back in the tank and she purrs like a kitten.
As far as fuel economy. In my 1JZ, I range from 350k's to 500k's depending on how I feel during the week Hopefully this will increase with a 5th gear...
