V8 Soarer Transmissions?

Heya all,
Quick question, was looking around at Soarers from 1988-1992, I know the Twin Turbo 6 comes in auto/man trans. but as far as I can see the V8 only comes in auto, is that right? I like the idea of a V8, but hate autos.

You have to use a Supra box, either W55/6/7/8/9, or a Supra Turbo box (R154), get a bellhousing from Castlemaine Rod Shop, or Dellows, get a custom flywheel, clutch, and then source clutch and brake pedals from a manual 6cyl soarer
Any more q's? Something I havent covered? (THere are more costs involved, but they are the main ones)

If you want a V8 you'll be stuck with an auto unless you convert as the post above mentions.
My new clutch should arrive today, so I'll be having some fun converting my auto Soarer TT to manual over the next week or two.

So you have everything else do you? Pedals, lines, driveshaft etc etc?

Heya,
Thanks, I was pretty sure that the Soarers UZ's only came in auto trans, now I know  Didn't really feel like doing a conversion from auto to man, cause I'd heard that you need a new computer also? But really I've got NFI about trans. changes, I gotta get a Soarer first

Sure do... got everything sitting on the floor of my garage next to the car. The clutch is the final piece of the puzzle before the fun starts.

Very nice, you will love manual
I converted my Cressida to manual a year or so ago, and now that I am coverting to UZ, I had to go out and get all manual conversion gear for that motor (at a cost of $1500ish) just so I didnt have to go back to auto.
