fuel lines in a ta22 Fri, 06 February 2004 00:37 Go to next message
just a quick question hopefully someone will know, did a search first couldn't find it covered in past threads. Are the fuel lines in a ta22 large enough to handle the flow of a vl pump for a 3t-gte?

The fuel lines in a TA22 are designed for a suck-through carby pump, but you're replacing that with a high-pressure EFI pump which is pushing the fuel through the lines. Unless you're chasing huge power (like 400hp up) the stock lines will be enough.

u have nothing to worry about, norbie is right. I have had a ride in a very tricked up TA22 3T-GTE (unconfirmed approx 350-400hp) and he was running std fuel lines no hassle.

roger i don't know if that's correct about the vl, vlturbo, & camira running same pumps. VL turbo pumps are meant to be different i think...

Compare the part numbers, you'll find they are in fact the same.

FWIW I'm running a JE Camira pump at the moment and it works great.
