quick question Tue, 10 February 2004 09:27 Go to next message
my sa63 is just about stuffed, i think its either a head or gasket, and instead of completing taking it apart and stuff, im thinking of dropping another motor in it later....

so, could u guys give me a brief list of quick motors(reasonably priced/available) that drop STRAIGHT in, without too much hassle.
thanks boys (y)

the 18rgu i think goes straigh in but u need the right box with it and the exhause manifold is on the opposite side so a exhaust cut is in order. but no engine change from original is ever easy.

The only thing that will bolt straight in is another SA63 engine and even then there is likely to be some differences.

If you don't mind some fiddling, are happy to do some fabrication work and wanted a bit more punch, I would look at a 3S-gte.

Even factoring in the fact he has a car with an S-series engine, a 1G would still be a MUCH easier conversion than a 3SGTE.
