pulled the spark plugs from the 2tg today and they were really black and gungy identical to the inside of an exhaust tailpipe
is this because the carby air/fuel mixture is too rich ?...im guessing it is just want to confirm
it is definatly not oil
something else thats strange is when i took it up to 7000rpm for a quick croon the other night after coming to stop at traffic lights i couldnt get the bitch to idle lower than 2000rpm eventually i just adjusted the idle speed screw but every day since then it has gone 1200rpm (3 times) and i once again adjusted it
what have i broke, or is this something to do with the plugs , that would be easier to handle i guess
damn just waiting on somebody with 2tg efi for sale

i had the same problem with my solexs, blew a bit of black smoke and just splutter when i floored it. It is too hard to tune them, i went to 3 places and none of them could get it right. someone suggested the venturis could have been loose, but i just think its the kind of carbies and how the jets work. wierd about the idle, only thing i can think of is timing advance/vacuum or choke. The efi is rare mate, and you will loose performance with it but definately more reliable.
