Whether or not you want to take a risk you are just by driving with some of the other dickheads out there. IMHO there's two types that cause accidents.
Active - Idiots who drive stupidly, without consideration of the conditions, their cars ability and their own.
Passive - Those that drive too slowly and cautiously for the traffic around them, making otherwise normal people take a greater than necessary risk to avoid/get around them to travel at a normal safe pace and maintain traffic flow.

Passive dammit..
We have a street I have to go along every day to my house, used to be 60km/h and everyone for some reason drove at 50. Now its 50km/h and guess what, everyone drives are 40.. Drives me mad!

What about people who are just lazy drivers? Listen to music and what have you? Then run off the road when they don't see a turn comming?
Most fatal road accidents happen in rural areas, aparently. So they shouldn't be cracking down on people in city areas with 50 zones and the like.

I always remember the first fatal accident I saw. Way out west a cattle road train on a main road which back then meant it had 4 or 5 trailers . An old couple towing their caravan along doing around 40 in an old fairlane. Truck comes over the crest of the hill and literally ran through the caravan and over most of the car, tipping cattle everywhere (can anyone say cow tipping). Truck was not speeding (we were following), it just came down to inappropriate speed.
Another good one ois those "passives" that think to enter a freeway thats travelling at 110k's you need to slow to 40.

ohh man
<rant>
the:
- slow freeway enterers.
- dont stay in their own lane in a 2 lane round about.
- go 70 in an 80 zone. but then go 70 in a 60 zone.
- dont obey the keep left unless overtaking rule on freeways.
passives all sh!t me to no end.

stuff the 'slow' freeway enterers...
try getting stuck behind somone who 'missed' their merging opportunity cause they were doing 40, so decide to STOP in the merging lane, indicator going, looking for the next availability....

What about those who don't stay in their own lane IN A STRAIGHT LINE I've noticed alot of that lately, had a few near misses too. Some people have absolutely no idea where their car is on the road...

i find that the best way to deal with people going well slower than the speed limit is to get in front of them, then slow down to a crawl.
i cant stand people who cant/wont indicate, or dont know how to indicate correctly on roundabouts ... whats this crap about indicating right to go straight? then just turning it off when they are leaving. or even better, just not indicating at all no matter which way they are going
fgjhkfashf;dksohflksahgfkljsk;sj
it just makes it worse when they have those stupid ok/25 stickers ... yeah big woop that you are classed as a "safe" driver ... go back to drivers ed and learn how to drive properly

Heh heh. I had this happen to me on the way to the Greenvale meet. He just drifted halfway into my lane, before deciding to indicate. If I hadda looked away, or hadn't been on the ball he would have clipped me. So I braked, beeped, then ran right up his ass for a bit, then backed off until he went left again into a freeway exit. I gunned up next to him and gave him the finger. He look terrified.
This wouldn't have angered me so much if there was no other way to get into the left lane. The lack of indicator was bad, but I would have let it go. But there wasn't another car behind me for at least 200m! I probably over reacted. Oh well.

That's okay, if they are in a JZA80 Supra RZ, and can fly from 0-100 in a matter of seconds. But they usually aren't.

the other night i was entering the south eastern freeway and was just reaching 100km/h when i notice that the lady next to me on my right in a barina is moving into my lane. my front bumper was lined up with her doors, so she didnt have any room to come in. i started beeping my horn, but she couldnt hear it at all (its pretty quiet AE82) and continues to come into my lane. i look to the very left lane and there is space, so i quickly indicate and hop into that lane. she completed her lane change, luckily with me not there!!!
stupid bitch..

hehe. I find its funny that on 3 lane highways/motorways the left lane is now the fast lane. Its annoying when you have the occasional slow driver in the left lane like he should be :P

Yeah, it's kinda stupid like that. I hate it when you get a three lane highway, with three soccer mum 4WD taking up the whole road. they all drive at the same speed like it's some kind of realy slow formation driving or something. THEN when one of them FINALY get ahead, the guy behind them doesn't take the chance to slip though, and I am stuck behind that moron.
