i want to move to an MA61 so the red beast has to go... i'll arrange a safety certificate (needs tyres & windscreen) if i get a deposit on a sale. I'm also selling the 1G-GTE that was going to replace the 18R-T one day plus spares.
RA40 Red, 1981, Hatch, 5sp, Air-con, 18R (turbo)
on the road since April 2002 after 2 year rebuild, Qld registered with compliance plate for the turbo.
NEW PRICE: $6300 OBO for the car, the 1G-GTE and spares. I will split but only into large lots (e.g. $1k for the all the 1G-GTE stuff, $5K for celica, $300 for the spares).
I've changed the detail above slightly and I've moved all the descriptive crap over to my web site:
<http://members.optushome.com.au/mkhala/red_celica/ stuff_for_sale.html>
so i can show this pic:

hi rob_ra40,
possible error in my measurements - I/D measured 1" (25mm) when i looked inside it at blake's but markings on cylinder casting differ:
engine side: 83 - AISIN
fender side: 15/16 - 52
is a 4 bolt unit with bias adjuster attached to booster underneath the master cylinder
booster has this part number sticker on it:
814-02501
3822
sorry about that - will ammend specs above also.
am not sure what it would have cost - $30-40? there was bugger-all leakage at the rear when we unbolted it from the booster.
charles.

it seems us RA40 owners are a but stuck when finding a 2 bolt master cylinder upgrade.

hi Jag7799,
is engine+box+some wiring - there's no outboard gear like power steering, aircond, radiator or thermo fans, fuse box - but it does have exhaust, tailshaft and fuel pump.
the engine is separated from the gearbox. you+me could lift everything except engine onto a ute without using a crane or ramp. Bring an old skateboard and some kind of flat ramp and we could wheel the engine on/off a ute.
the intake plumbing is pulled apart and sitting in boxes as i was considering a partial pull-down (e.g. to a short block) to check condition of internals.
the electrical leads/head-plugs for all sensors are bagged and labeled and live in another box.
the rest of the loom was hacked up or used forspares and lives in a plastic bag.
unless you can rewire engine & gearbox ECUs, or are considering megsquirt or another aftermarket ECU as well as KDog's tiptronic gearbox controller, it might be difficult to get it running.
as i told Matt on the w'end, i could help with re-assembly and wiring up if your keen.
even tho it hurts my sale prospects, you'll need to take some time and planning if you want it - it's a fair bit of work in anyone's books.

if you're interested, this car will be at the Toyota Nationals - not in the drags, but if I can remove the bugsplatter from the drive down, it'll be in the show-n-shine.
Also, i'm re-assembling the 1G engine so the induction is intact.
ta, charles.
