HI,
I just really wanna know how you tell a gen 2 engine from a gen 1 or 3? Sounds like a good price but not for me

rocker covers are the most visible difference, gen 1 has gold coloured rocker covers, gen 2 has silver ones.
no idea what a gen 3 looks like, never seen one

just confirming for all............
I did not heasr the MR2 engine running. I bought the wreck for the g'box and LSD which i ripped out the day it arrived. The wreck was missing the ECU and a few bits, which I now have, and will go with the engine. All I can offer is to do a compression test on it. it has been dry stored in my garage. there is no visible damage, all sensors in place etc and I can send pics if someone really wants to buy it.

When you say it was missing a few bits and now you have them, does that include dizzy, alternator, sump and loom etc? Also, howd that compression test go?
