4A throttle sticking Fri, 13 February 2004 13:21 Go to next message
I just got myself a supercharged aw11 today, and its grouse..

But one thing i noticed is the throttle sticks. I knoticed exactly the same on a 4A-GE converted T-18 i drove once

It only happens sometimes, the trottle gets stuck when you take your foot off so when u go to put it back on it is sorta stuck and requires more effort than usual... then it lets go and its fine

I was wondering if this is common on 4a's since ive driven 2 4ag(z)e powered cars with that problem, Any ideas on how to stop it cause it shits me

thanks,
Phill

try cleaning out the throttle body. if it doesn't work, adjust the butterfly inside so that it is slightly open.. just enough to stop it from sticking. it will idle a bit higher but it works.
