There is one further towards the city, near the Punt road overpass. Not sure if there are any physically near Chadstone though.
PS you better bring that beast to Heathcote
cheers

Well, if you didnt notise any flash, since it was at night, you should be safe as far as I know. Ive seen someone go though a redlight at night at a different location with a camera, and we had the 2 flashes go off.

I dunno about red light cameras there, but just 'cuz you didn't see a flash doesn't mean there wasn't a camera. They have these new light amp cameras. I dunno if we have them in Victoria yet, but yeah.

Shakra & King are both right.. in their own ways.
Yes, light amplification cameras are either here in Vic, or on their way!
However, if you are talking about near Poath Road, near the Macca's side of Chadstone, no, there are not RLC's.
However, I think there are a few if you head a few sets of lights more towards the city on Princes Highway..
However, I'll just use one more "However"!
However.....

There is one at the intersection of Kooyong and Dandenong Rds... I know it can get you if you are in Koooyong Rd but am not sure if they are able to nab ya in Dandy Rd as well.

i have a feeling that i remember hearing that the camera's are still working but the fines are not being issued. something is infront of parliament (i think) in regards to the speed/red light combo cameras reading dodgy speeds. i recall something abt a clapped out old datto 120y being clocked at 150 (?) then the owner took it to calder and the top speed some racing car driver got was like 110?

The only red light/speed cameras on princess hwy i know of are in dandenong (near dande-frankston road) and further pass chaddie (cnr of orrong and dande rd + cnr of kooyong and dande).
There shouldn't be any rlc's around chadstone.

Ah crap, I had a whole list of them but I deleted them the other day when my email was full. It had the location of every new red light/speed camera that they set up late last year.
Sorry Guys.

I hear ya!
This will put threads into the General Talk section that don't need to be there. Not when its obviously more suited to the victorian section.
But I guess they make the rules
Is it up to us to challenge them?

the rules are there to be adhered to... if you have a suggested change to the forum rules then email the board DO NOT think that simply because you feel your way is best that you can ignore them... that sort of behaviour will not be tolerated
the interstate sections were created to help facilitate interstate cruises, meets and events and for NO other reason
a specific decision was made by the board not to segregate the other states but instead promote a national toyota community and consequently pool resources more efficiently
i cannot see this decision being over-turned in the near future so by disregarding the rules of the interstate sections you risk their removal completely
please do not post any further comments in regards to this matter in this thread as they will be deleted
further feedback can be emailed to the board
