Maybe because they have a load of oversteer...
what makes it even more gay is that pontiac dont even make it.

with the right suspension you can make anything drift - from all the stuff ive read thru the guys who do it on here..
with 400 horsies on tap and "drift" suspension setup it should be crowd pleaser - and its piloted by a professional rally driver ..
Im pretty sure he can bag it up for the fans - but it wont win

For drifting - Ae86's , silvias , 200sx's, RX7's ..
Id say they are up there with japans best for that type of motorsport

How can people claim the monaro wont match it?
Plenty of power, good weight distribution, pro dirver. I don't see why it can't be competitive. Has plenty of torque to spin the rear wheels. Don't see how its going to look gay doing it either. Most cars look good in drift spec - esp when actually drifting. I'll support it, and hope it does well with Japan's best. So many forum users are just too one-eyed, worse than collingwood supporters.

So because its a commodore with the shopping list down the side, massive rear wing, black bonnet: it looks shit...however a corolla with the crap on means it looks good? You guys are a joke! a) you don't seem to know good engineering, and b) your like idiots who don't like something and hang crap on it just for the sake of it. Love to see your face when a VL rips past your corolla - sideways. Don't get me wrong, I laugh at all the wanker commodore drivers out there, but also at the rice mobiles too. With overkill exhaust, just to be loud. When the engine simply don't need it - I think you'll find more small japanese cars with useless cannon exhausts that are louder than the V8 holden next to them, then you will V6 drivers with underbody neons. Point anyone?

you guys are have no appreciation for australian engineering.
as far as im concerned you can keep ur corolla and ur 3sgte, ill take the CV8 munro, and ill see you at the strip.
oh but to keep it fair, ill throw on all the bolt on goodies like a real lsd, a half decent exhaust, some filters, some better engine management, and any other mods you might do to ur rolla in the process of doing a 3sgte,
then ill meet you at the track, and to show you what a nice guy i am, ill even bring the trailer for your poor little rolla after it gets OWNED buy a "bogan commie"
sure it uses pushrods, but who gives a fuck when it has more potential than any other 4 banger around. especailly when you look at bolt on blowers...
