Thats right its not a type, i know its a tall order but the car its destined for shant be a turbo. So a 3TGE is needed. If anyone anywhere has one, or may know of a importers that has one, please let me know.

errr i may be wrong but the motor you're asking for doesn't exist. there is no version of the 1.8 litre 3tg without turbo from factory. the nearest is to get a 3t/2tg hybrid effectively making it what you are after. and using a 3tgte minus turbo would be turd cos the compression is not made for n/a
of course, i may be completely wrong

Well , someone MIGHT have a hybrid needing a home ..
I think there was for sale in the " for sale " section ironically enough not long ago ..
Otherwise hirogen - 2tgeu block , 3t crank , 3t rods + pistons ..
Any motor rebuilder should be able to slot these pieces together and all are easily obtained ..
Whatck on a pair of solexes or Webers ( if you want carbys )and youd be motoring ..
OTHERWISE .....
Speak to the fella with the blue ta22 that comes to our meets ..
he had a drive in drive lut 2tgeu conversion done in melbourne for $3 grand - including all the wiring and fuel pump mods needed ..
And it Goes like stink for a ta22

there you go, my car goes like 'stink', thanks stu.
Now..what does stink go like?
Mike this engine is for the T-18 right? well, you've already got the 3t, so you can get all the gear out of that anchor and find a suitable 2TG engine block. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
Stu, I'll have to take you for a drive in the celica at the next meet. It has new springs in it now (as opposed to the cut ones at the meet - I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THEM). Handles like its on rails (in the dry that is). After it comes back from re-spray the front suspension will be completed for an all round package. (someone get me a towl, I'm drooling)

I do miss my red one alot ! As soon as the money pit GT4 is complete - ill most likely have another ta22 or similar in the garage ( if not before )
Got my eye on a totally stock as a rock red restored one in town ...
it needs watanabe's and a 2tgeu .. And handling
Oh and stink goes! just trust the stink !
