I have some questions about it all. firstly on bare metal respray is it just paint or is undercoat used first. Secondly where panel work has been done is it undercoated around that area and thirdly how long can the car be bare metal before it starts rusting or can i just bare metal it a panel at a time and undercoat it so it doesnt rust. Only reason im asking this is i have found a little more rust then i would like in ta23 so it will have to go back to bare so i can remove it all.

I would be bare-metalling it and doing it a panel at a time. In theory you can leave it a while, moreso in favourable conditions, but any surface rust that forms that isn't treated correctly could turn up to spoil all your hard work.

Hey, On a bear metal respray they would usually etch prime it 1st then prime and then paint. After a repair they put primer over it. Also Dont think that the car is safe being primed and left for to long as primer is porous ??? Not 100% sure about that tho ???. Rust basically starts forming on the metal as soon as its bared.
Thankyou

when you do the finish coat, do all the back edges etc of where you cant get to, door jams too, then put it all back together, and spray it at once, other wise to a good painter you will notice that each panel will be different shades/strokes to each other.
