2t turbo options

hey guys, i would eventually like to turbo my 2t/3t. however, i dont want to change it to efi, i heard that there is turbo designed for carbies...a mate told me that a place in geelong called sprin tec or something can do customised ones for 500 bucks...
anyways, since i am doing the 2t/3t hybrid, and raising the compression, i would have to drop the compression for a turbo or superchager. so, doing this, do i sacrifice my work? ie. would i have been better just turboing the 2tg? or will i benefit from both ie. still gain better midrange through having the different stroke?
also, what is the maximum amount of degrees, lift etc you would want to have on your cams in a turbo? the reason i ask is mine are fairly aggresive.
