Very Desperate
Know anyone/where that has one?

what about an aftermarket adaptor block? I use one on my rally car to move the filter from under the throttle bodies. It also allows me to run an oil cooler without any drama's. I realise that it is unlikely that a 1uz will require an oil cooler, but you can never be too sure. I purchased my filter adaptor at the local rally supply shop, Autosport, and then got the hoses made at Pirtek. Cost me about $450 including a $200 cooler. Well worth the extra effort, it also allows you to put the filter in a more convienent locaion for servicing. The resulting loss in oil pressure was combated by shimming the oil pressure relief valve, however this is not going to be a problem in a 1uz. If you do go down this path, be sure to increase you oil volume by the total volume of the system.
good luck
