just wondering if anyone in the Melbourne area may
know of someone who may be able to make an oil drain
pipe for a 3tgte turbo i have one on the car but have been
told that i may have difficulty replacing it if i damage it
i have tried to find another one from a wreckers but they are
not easy to come by
Is it a stock piece you are after?
because i'm in the same boat, although i don't have to original to copy, i just need one. wouldn't be too hard to fabricate one.
The original ones a prone to cracking (if you turbo is not properly supported by the factory bracket or a good imitiation of it).
Mine cracked and it was a good thing - get rid of it and replace it with a flexible item (Ortac hose) 19mm or 3/4" make/solder together a barbed fitting arrangement at each end add some hose clamps and voila - sleep well.
Making a solid type steel pipe replacement is perilous because they do not flex - where as the original is billowed steel to deal with the expansion and contraction of the manifold.
