My 18rc ra23 squeals when in first and second when I take my foot of the clutch. It started doing it a few days ago, and when I just went to/from lunch it was doing it pretty loud.
Did a search around the net and most people seem to think its belt tensions? found this thread from here that seems to point to belts, but can someone confirm that this is a possible cause? Also, just curiousity, but if it is the belts, why would it be making this type of noise?
I have the same sort of noise with my gearbox. Was told its not worth even trying to fix when i can get another 5 speed for $150. Id just be starting to look for another box unless u are keen on gettin it rebuilt.
