2tg cold air intake Thu, 19 February 2004 07:47 Go to next message
howdy guys,
i was just wondering...what type of intake did the 2tg come with originally? was it just two sports filters mounted on the sides of the carbies? or did they actually have a kinda cold air intake set up, coz ive seen a few pictures with a black pipe actually inclosing the area of the filters in a pipe and running straight to the carbies.

well, im going to do a cold air intake on my 2tg, and i am wondering what the best set up is, what is the most effective set up to make? talking to a guy who runs his intake through a bonnet scoop, im not sure how this would look on a ta22, but i think i wouldnt mind it if done properly. or i could just do a system that runs a pipe near the front and just blows in the general direction of the filters? or can i make a system that replicates the aforementioned system, (the one that encloses the filters etc) anyway, gimme some help if you can, thanks heaps

I have seen both 2T-G and 18R-G air box's for sale on Yahoo Auctions Japan. They are rare in Australia becuase many people throw them away, or they never made it here with the engine. Maybe they are a good things? I just have Redline airhorns on mine, with Redline foam socks. Maybe I could do better.
