I spotted the request for 18rg dizzy cap info.
I thought I would start a new thread so you notice this Sean (spelling?)
I am not sure if you're running (hall type) electronic ignition or not, but would assume so as the rest of the car seems to be.
This dizzy cap fits the 18RG (19100 - 88230) old points dizzy, I'n not sure if the electronic one takes the same cap though.
Bosch GD516 (suit 64-69 Corona & S Models)
I hope this helps, I'm afraid that I can't tell you what works or doesn't work for the electronic dizzy, as Owen's electronic dizzy is 18a modified 18RC one.
I hope that was helpfull and I made sense.

That part number won't be too helpful to you, as it is so old.
for the electronic dizzies, you might want to look at the following, they might be electronic as they would be 18egu/eu
19100 would stay the same I would expect, but the generation numbers would become.
- 88250 (18rg/18rgu not sure)
- 88251 (18rgu)
- 88253 (18rgu)
- 88254 (18rgu)(possibly might exist)
- 88255 (18rgu)(possibly might exist)
- 88270 (18rgeu)
- 88271 (18rgeu)
Have a go at those, you might be able to find something.
Try getting in touch with Robbin in Spare parts at Peter Davey Toyota on Main North Road. He is an 18rg collecter and has access to all the factory diagrams and part numbers (on microfish)
Last time I was at City Auto Parts, they said that they could get dizzy caps for 18rg's, they mentioned that the part numbers for the points dizzies are different for the electronic dizzies.
They may be able to get new ones for you.
It surprised me that you said you might be able to get one from the US, would that be from Toysport or TRD USA? Tehy may be able to help, but the US didn't get 18rg engines, and they are rarer over there than over here, and spare parts are non-existent apart from those two companies.
There is a place in England that I heared of through a net search for 18rgu that stock spare parts for 18rg/u/eu engines.
That is all I can offer.
I hope you have some luck and it doesn't cost too much.
