I was on a budget, and i used a SV21 camry thermo fan.... fits straight onto the ae86 radiator...
costs me $25 at the wreckers, or something around that price

wreckers are cheap, look around
DC are considered exxy, but they arguably last longer, are balanced better, draw less power etc, than cheaper alternatives..
think of DC vs cheap-ass fans as toyota vs hyundai... theres a quality difference, but both will get you to the shops'n'back for a few years

if you look around P&PL youll find a 15" Davies Craig is standard on some of the later model vehicles, thats what i use, reliable as and with the stock AE86 radiator you can watch the needle drop within seconds when you turn it on ( mine was on manual switch )

i'm using/will be using a sss nissan pulsar fan, fits perfectly, as i assume radiators are standardish parts.
