Hey guys,

I've got a 2TGEU in my 1980 te71 that might be up for sale. This is a GENUINE jap import motor not a carby 2tg with the efi gear hanging off it. I have heard these motors are becoming rare, but i dont know much about them. I know you can whack them in a T18(TE72) or build a hybrid engine with a 3t block. There is quite a lot of info on this in the Tech section.Apparently theyre not bad in old celicas also. The compression has been tested (thanks CLG) and it was found to be like so:

It also has a blown headgasket and blows a bit of smoke. Would last about 6-12months before requiring a rebuild.
How much is it worth?

so it has all the working efi gear, and sensors etc ?

but needs a rebuild,

well id give you 500 + freight to canberra for it,

Yep, i love the look of it. Im selling mine because its too much work. was gonna drop in a 4agze but needed to convert to r&p which involves firewall cutting...etc. also its got some rust and window missing and a few other things.
