Unfortunately no Glenn, not a joke, so mods don't delete it.
Here is a pic.

It's just a copy of a Morris Oxford made in India.
Anyway, you can get LPG variants......will this make life easier?

That's what we think....this modern version of a 1940's car would look great next to our Crown wagon!
A new one costs about $8000 AUD (+ whatever to land it and register it)!

you might be able to source parts from NZ we used to have them there too, be hard pressed to find one in good condition there though, too much salt air takes care of that... for $8K thats a pretty good buy brand new... i would hazard a guess that youd have trouble with compliance but ph the rta and see what they say. you may have to submit a car for crash test which works out to blow the budget ,unless they bought the Oxford out to aus? then it will be very easy to compliance.

I would love to see more Ambassadors in Australia. I spent the first 10 years of my life in India and Ambassadors were all around. Here are some of the features that have just been added to the Ambassador: digital clock, child proof safety locks, rear stop lamp, head rests I think the Ambassador is now powered by an Isuzu 1.8L petrol engine and also a 2.0L diesel engine. They also come with a factory LPG tank option. Not before time
