yes the 5me is long, but looking at my pics of the sa63 i owned i can say it will fit in. However, as zzt231 says, dont waste your money. Dont forget you need a new exhaust, all new custom work and electrics.
I agree with him, sell the sa63 and buy an ma61

Why also begs the question? lol
The 5ME only has something like 105kw isn't it? (or 98kw for the cressidas?), don't 2s-c 's put out 83kw? Not exactly a huge improvement for the money
Why not think about a 1G?

The engine bays of the 84 supra and 84 celica are almost identical to one another up until the front rail, that is were all the diffrence is!
The 2s-c has a front bowl sump.
The reason i have chosen the 5M-E is cause it was out of a historic car (the 84 supra, which in the day was japans fastest production car)
As I am an Auto engineer the work load does not bother me one bit, plus i am not goin to radical on the SA63 due to its older sister (TA22) which is soon to make an appearance!!!!

I think you will find that they made the front chassis rails longer / wheel base longer for a reason
But if you have your heart set on it (also it won't help the balance of the car with all the extra weight up the front either!) and think that you can do it for next to nothing go ahead...

i have the ma61 sitting in my back yard next to the sa63 (the ma61 has been written off). so it should be fairly easy to mix and match!

a lot of time and effort WASTED in my opinion.
At least do a decent conversoin like a 3sgte, or if you have no other choice bar a 6cyl, a 1ggte?
its still gonna cost in the vicinity of thousands to do te conversion unless you know everything about changing an engine and electrics...dont forget the 2sc was carby, it doesnt need a proper computer etc. Fuel pump will probably have to be replaced because of hi-p from the efi as well.
or...the nicest litte conversion...a little wedge 8 cylinder

i bet it would, But i rebuilt a 21-R once, after doing it i had to have one!!!
i saw the potential inside it, high dome pistons (standard), fully floating pistons (standard) and the flow of the ports in the head.... it was amazing.

i know you wouldn't really class a 21-R as a performance engine but near $20,000 later and it exceeds what you would call a perrformance engine!!!!

You will find that the fast Supra's came with a 5M-GE, not the anaemic 5M-E found in Aussie Supra's. Having owned one of these I can assure you it wouldn't have set any records in its day.
I agree with the above, you'll spend a lot of time and money to end up with a mediocre result. There are much better ways to improve your Celica!
