hey boys, now its not actually up for sale, i just want to know what you reckon its worth.
its a 2tg with 3t crank and pistons. its got completely new valves and springs able to cope with the worked cams, (race cams, i will get proper specs later) um, the head has been completely reconditioned by m n w in ballarat. flywheel has been lightened and balanced.
rocket cover polished.
block reconditioned, but no reciepts coz done at home (but rest assured a spot on job was done)
new rings, all bearings new, full gasket kit.
heres the thing: all work is less than 2 weeks old, its been put back together for 3 days, still out of the car. clutch is new too. everythings clean etc. in the last month around 2 grand has been spent on it
how much do you reckon guys? how much would u honestly pay, not overpriced, and not mates rates....any comments, opinions etc is great. if you read this post, id like a comment
cheers grant

I just built a motor identical to this, it cost me $2000 to build, not including the intitial cost of the first 2T-G. Plus I sorted the shims out myself. But to sell it, it will be hard to get your $2000 back. You may have to sell if for more like $1500. Wether it has forged pistons of not would make a difference, mine does not.

The motor would be worth over $2000 easy. But it seams most people into old stuff prefer to start with a dead engine and build it up themselves so they know whats what. For a young guy wanting something to stuff in their TA22, they usualy go the cheap option with a import 2T-GEU for $300. And when that blows and they get wise, maybe they will want your new motor, or build their own.

Grant,
Check your PM. I'd be interested to discuss particular specifications and a price if you're seriously interested in selling.

sounds like a nice motor, should probably get around $1200-1500 mark easy, if not they are getting a bargain...
good luck with selling it
