Hey guys. I dunno much about these cars. And i don't intend on buying one myself but my friend is. Anyone got any info on these? And weather these can be imported into australia/melbourne? Also how much would they cost? As far as my friend told me they only diff between 101 and 111 is nicer interior? They got a 20v in them also i believe.
Anyone own one of these things? Or have any helpful information on this topic. As in weather they are a decent car or worthwhile owning car? Any help/info would be great help.

Similar overall shape, 2 door couple.... if you are thinking of the Levin & Truenos, but AE101 and AE111 look totally different!
I like all but not as fond of the AE101 Levin, front reminds me of a Camry.

The AE101 comes with the GZE or silvertop 20v, the AE111 with the blacktop 20v. I know and have seen in Australia both AE101 & AE111 with the 20v , but have not seen a AE101 with a GZE. I've HEARD that the GZE model is available for compliance in Australia, but i've never actually seen one so i couldn't say for sure.
My personal choice would be an AE101 Trueno GTZ or GT Apex if you can't get the GTZ(supercharged) model.

Ray Palmer sell them and so does a place in Kirraween (I think it called Japanese Performance?) Cost is around $15K-20K Complianced... But the is another... (AE101)I will have here at the end of the month. An AE101 FX-GT Corolla ie three door RV Seca factory 20V. This cost me around $6K as a rally import, so I'd have to say $10K is just the compliancing of the cars!

Yep, it's gonna be a Rally Car (Formula 1600), So there's no tax, duties or Compliance, But I know the guys bringing it in for me will be able to find out.

There is a listing as a Corolla FX-GT on the import register, yes under 20K and I have only printed pic's of my car. Web search and a few pop up, http://homepages.paradise.net.nz/action/ae101/ is one site with a couple of pics.... these are a very rare car,it took just over a year to find mine!!
They pretty much are an AE102 RV seca, factory fitted with Levin Running gear ie 20V 5-spd or auto built '92-96

Sorry NO... The Late AE101 wagons (BZ and BZ G-touring) were the first fitted with a Blacktop/ 6-spd combo, and All AE111 after that were fitted with a Blacktop/6spd from these cars... check out where I got my stuff from...
This definately ain't a 111 as the headlights and gearbox now live in the front of my AE102 Rally Car, and this model also forms the basis of a 50pg techincal Report for ARcom (OZ rally commision) on why a 20V should be run in domestic AE101's and 102's and is also why I bought an AE101 FX Corolla not a Levin.
