for a while ive been running ridiculously rich, and had the really bad hesitation (the thing almost did bunnyhops ) problem every time i changed gears.
just the other day i disconnected the tps and, driving without it theres no hesitation problem, and the fuel economy's improved a fair bit as well. its still running way too rich (puff of black smoke when i fang it) but not nearly as bad as before..
i was under the impression that the motor wouldnt even run without feedback from a tps?? apparently it does. does that mean its just running straight off the map sensor and oxy sensor?
wats the purpose of the tps? and how does the computer use the feedback coming from it? does that mean that its running incorrect mixtures without the tps connected?? or is it there just for better throttle response because ive noticed a slight delay when you get onto the throttle
anyways,
any info would be very much appreciated. thanks guys
Hmmm, well if you like to drop over you can try the TPS off my 4ag on there and see how it goes. I think the main purpose of it is acceleration enrichment, plus idle speed control etc.
