Spark plugs stuck Sun, 19 May 2002 16:54 Go to next message
My sparks plugs in my drive around corolla are stuck. I bent my spark plug tool trying to get them out. When my mate bored the car he said the needed replaced and had a hard time getting them out. He swears he did them only finger tight. While I know I will get them out, I dont understand why there tighten up.

Usually on aluminium v8 heads they put anti-seize on the plugs so this doesn't happen. I haven't heard of it on a corolla but.

Screwed thread? May not be in straight.

If you get them out, check out the thread on the plugs. See if it's damaged. Clean the holes they go into with a rag. Might need some new seals.
